What is Biodynamics?

Biodynamics is a wholistic approach to agriculture and gardening which you could consider to be 'premium organic'.  Like organics, no pesticides or artificial chemicals are used, but it is taken a step further.  The microorganisms in the soil are nourished and nurtured using special preparations, so that plants and the animals (and humans!) which feed off them grow vigorously and to their maximum potential.  Plantings are also done according to moon and planetary charts.  When one considers that the moon controls the tides, it's easy to imagine the influence the astral bodies have over our plant life also!

Is Biodynamics Difficult?

No!  Anybody can apply biodynamics to their home garden or agricultural undertaking and we encourage you to do so!  To learn more about it, please feel free to contact us.

I have read a lot of different stories about the origins of biodynamics and I'm confused... where did it come from?

Biodynamics was founded by Rudolf Steiner in Germany.  He presented his theories on not just how the Biodynamic Philosophy applies to agriculture, but many different aspects of life, in a series of lectures.  There are many followers of the biodynamic philosophy all over the world now, and this is a wonderful thing!  If you'd like to learn more, we'd be more than happy to give you all the information you require.
